This blanket is really well made, the weight feels very evenly distributed. It is the perfect size for one person. I really liked the feeling of it, but unfortunately my hips (laying on my side) do not agree with the rest of me. I felt like my hip I was laying on was too pressed into the mattress and it didn't take long for the pressure to feel sore. Unfortunately, it's not something that will work for me to sleep with. I am very dissapointed as it really is a lovely quality blanket.

I've been struggling with very poor sleep since lockdown hit & I lost my job. I've been getting between 3 1/2 - 5 1/2 hrs a night and very little deep sleep, sometimes even none, or just 15 minutes (I have a sleep app that measures sleep and quality of sleep). I heard about weighted blankets & ordered one online from a different company. It was nice quality but I thought it was too bulky and I wasn't keen on the fleece type cover so I returned it. Then I found Calming Blanket and saw the bamboo weighted blanket and ordered the 4.5 kgs one. I really loved the feel of it immediately but after several nights it didn't seem to be doing anything for my sleep so I returned it and ordered the next weight up. Bingo! It's incredibly silky & settles on the contours of my body like water, it's hard to describe the sensation. I immediately started sleeping better and now I've been using it for 3 weeks I can confirm that I'm sleeping consistently longer and deeper. I'm now on average sleeping 5 1/2 - to 7 (7!) hours each night and up to 4 hours deep sleep. Also the bamboo fabric, as well as feeling absolutely gorgeous, seems to provide amazing temperature regulation. I'm a 65 year old woman and really feel the cold but also am prone to getting very hot in the night, but the bamboo warms almost immediately although it's cool to the touch, and I'm not waking up in a sweat during the night at all. Calming Blanket's customer service is second to none. The first blanket I ordered was returned free of charge and both blankets were delivered within 2-3 days of ordering, I've been impressed at their efficiency & they were very pleasant and helpful to deal with. I can't recommend them enough, and I would say if you're thinking of trying a weighted blanket don't be afraid to because of concerns about returning or exchanging it. Just FYI, I weigh 56 kgs and I have the 6.8 kgs blanket. Also I got the single adult size blanket and it's perfect on my small (4') double bed.

Now I have a new problem, I can't get out of bed! I've been sleeping like an angel for a week now and it's wonderful, I love being all cuddled up underneath it. I feared it would turn out to be too hot for me, but it's absolutely not! It arrived quite fast in 3 days. It's a bit pricey but sleeping well is priceless. Love it, I've been talking about it to everyone I know.

This is by far the best thing I have ever bought! I’ve slept under my normal duvet once since the start of lockdown and i didn’t enjoy my nights sleep at all!! I suffer with health anxiety as a general day to day rule and I used to suffer from night sweats and woke up many times in the night worrying about everything! Now, I get under it and I’m asleep in minutes! It’s bonkers! Genuinely love it and going to buy a new one for myself to travel with and some for my daughters who also love sleeping under it because it’s so cool! However, mine is too heavy for them if they’re in it on their own!! Best purchase I’ve ever made and has completely changed my life xxx thank you

I bought one for my daughter for anxiety. She loves it. I tried hers after being told I had restless legs and it really helped. I then bought a bamboo one for me that was heavier but It was too heavy for my arthritic joints. apparently that wasn’t an issue because my daughter gave her lighter weight one to her brother and is now using the bamboo blanket. They both love them. So now it looks like I will need to get another bamboo blanket for myself

Fast delivery, packaged well, came in a canvas bag, all recyclable packaging, the blanket is so soft, feels cool to touch but is warm and cosy because of the weight, great for restless legs and pain at night, perfect size for one adult, bamboo cover is very soft, easy to wash, dry and iron, it would have been very easy to put on had I have realised the zip is at the side not the bottom, tie toggles so no bunching, thank you it is worth the investment!

So the calming blanket has been quite the treat it really helps to feel relaxed and just unwind after a hectic day of mum life - plus it’s made with beautiful soft bamboo lyocell fibres which is great for hubby as he sweats alot.
