This is my second Calming Blankets bamboo weighted blanket. I first dipped my toe in with the single size 6.8 kgs because I was suffering from insomnia during lockdown, and I absolutely loved it! The single size worked fine on my small double bed and I found the blanket soooo comfortable and soothing. It also converted me to bamboo, which I find to be remarkably good at temperature regulation, and I really love the silky texture. So much so that after about a year I splashed out and got myself the 12 kgs Queen/King version. There are no words for how much I love the sensation of being hugged, as the blanket settles like liquid over me. I am a total convert and tell all my family and friends how wonderful it is, to the extent that my adult daughter and a good friend how since got one for themselves. I am a women in my 60's and I'm 157.5 cms tall and weigh about 55 kgs and the 12 kg Queen feels like a perfect weight for me. Unless I have to move it, that is - I housesat for a friend over Christmas and took my blanket with me (of course) but could barely lift it when it's bundled up in a bag! :-) Also I should add that Calming Blankets customer service is second to none. Don't be afraid to try a weighted blanket!
